Ipsos research for Goodhao: For 82% of people in the Czech Republic who are considering a PV plant, the biggest obstacle is the high purchase price

Analytical data on customer preferences and potential in the renewable energy sector is crucial for our decision to enter the Czech market and for the preparation of our business strategy.

The results of the Ipsos survey show that renewable energy sources are still too expensive for most people in the Czech Republic.  For eight out of ten people considering a PV plant, the biggest barrier is the high price. Thus, solar power is still too expensive and unaffordable for most Czechs to save on energy.

Goodhao wants to change this trend, our goal is to make photovoltaics cheaper on the Czech market. We want to offer customers photovoltaics directly from manufacturers, without unnecessary distribution fees or surcharges. We can afford to do this thanks to our strategic partnerships and direct cooperation with the largest technology manufacturers such as FoxEss and Haier.

Our strategy in the first phase is based on the supply of components. In the Czech market, we want to approach assembly and installation companies and negotiate with them for cooperation. Unlike traditional companies, Goodhao will only broker this service. We want to offer installers and partners very superior conditions so that they can benefit from our partner programme.

We want to launch direct sales of photovoltaics and heat pumps in the Czech Republic as early as 2024. We are currently working on preparing an offer for customers of EH Malina and Alpha Solar, photovoltaic companies that have run into difficulties on the Czech market. We are finalizing the preparation of our direct representation in the Czech Republic, selecting a representative law firm and a communication partner.

Almost half of the inhabitants of privately owned houses in the Czech Republic plan to purchase a photovoltaic power plant in the future. Unsurprisingly, the main reason for purchase is to save on energy bills and to be energy self-sufficient. We can also see from other research that these factors are gaining in importance due to the events of recent years.

Goodhao entered the Czech renewable energy market in October this year by entering the insolvency proceedings of Energetický Holding Malina.

The company’s strategic goal is to change the current way and especially the prices at which renewable resources are purchased in the country. Goodhao will supply customers with cutting-edge technology directly from the manufacturers, i.e. without unnecessary trade surcharges or distribution margins. This way of selling will significantly reduce the domestic prices of renewable energy sources. Photovoltaic power plants and heat pumps will be significantly cheaper and thus more affordable for customers.

Goodhao has formed the New Energy Technology Manufacturers Alliance for its supply strategy for the European market. This is a unique partnership of global renewable energy technology manufacturers. Members of the Alliance include renowned international companies such as FoxEss, one of the world’s largest manufacturers of inverters and batteries, Haier, a world leader in heat pump supply, and Eastron, an international supplier of electrical components.

Goodhao has investment support and is funded by provincial and Chinese government funds. Its strategy of exporting China’s cutting-edge renewable energy technology to foreign markets is in line with China’s new export strategy.
