The New Energy Vehicle Industry Development Plan (2021-2035) proposes that by 2025, new vehicle sales of new energy vehicles will reach about 20% of the total new vehicle sales of automobiles, and that by 2035, purely electric vehicles will become the mainstream of new sales vehicles.
"New energy (automobile industry development) is the key to the transformation of the automobile industry." Fu Bingfeng, executive vice president and secretary-general of the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM), said that as the ownership of new energy vehicles continues to increase, the automotive industry will make its due contribution to the realization of the "double carbon" goal.
The reporter learned from the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM) that as of the end of May 2021, China's new energy vehicle ownership is about 5.8 million, accounting for about 50% of the global total of new energy vehicles.
At the same time, China's new energy vehicles supporting facilities are becoming more and more perfect. As of April this year, the country has built a total of 65,000 charging stations, 644 power exchange stations, 1.87 million charging piles of various types, and has built a highway fast-charging network covering 176 cities and more than 50,000 kilometers.
In order to make electric vehicles "return home, go out of the city, and go down to the countryside", the State Grid has continued to invest in the construction of charging infrastructure, with a cumulative investment of 27.4 billion yuan, forming a highway fast-charging network of "ten vertical and ten horizontal and two ring networks", and promoting the extension of public charging network to the countryside. A total of 128,000 charging facilities have been built in public, highway, townships and other guaranteed charging facilities.
New energy vehicle industry development trend is good, but the industry is still in the "climb over the hurdles" of the critical period. Xin Guobin, Vice Minister of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, said that policy support and innovation to promote the rapid development of China's new energy vehicles, the industry chain upstream and downstream basically realize through. In this regard, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology said that it will further strengthen the quality supervision of new energy vehicles, promote the further integration of vehicle electrification and intelligent Internet technology, sound charging, parking and other services, improve the level of electrification of public transportation, and effectively enhance the level of supporting industry chain, and promote the high-quality development of new energy vehicles.
According to the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers, China's new energy vehicle penetration rate increased from 5.4% at the beginning of this year to 9.4% in the first half of this year, of which the penetration rate in June has exceeded 12%.
"As the penetration rate of new energy vehicles continues to increase, the automotive market will undergo obvious changes: the utilization rate of green energy will be greatly improved; the layout of charging and switching infrastructure will be significantly expanded, and the intelligence of charging facilities will be popularized; and the system of supporting policies, regulations and standards related to new energy vehicles will be more complete and sound." Fu Bingfeng said.
