National Energy Administration on the issuance of the Guidance on Energy Work in 2025
On February 27, the National Energy Administration (NEA) issued a notice on the Guidance Opinions on Energy Work in 2025 and interpreted the policy. The Opinions mentioned among the main objectives that the supply security capacity will continue to increase. The total amount of national energy production is steadily increasing. Coal production has increased steadily, crude oil production has remained above 200 million tons, natural gas production has maintained rapid growth, and the scale of oil and gas reserves has continued to increase. The total installed power generation capacity of the country has reached more than 3.6 billion kilowatts, the new energy generation capacity has increased by more than 200 million kilowatts, the power generation capacity has reached about 10.6 trillion kilowatt-hours, and the cross-province and cross-region transmission capacity has been continuously improved.
