On February 18, the China Meteorological Administration held arenewable energyWeather service work scheduling meeting to implement General Secretary Xi Jinping's important exposition on national energy security and important instructions on meteorological work, analyze the new situation and new requirements faced by energy weather service work, and systematically summarize the progress of the work in the past one year since the issuance and implementation of the Action Plan for Energy Weather Service (2024-2027) (hereinafter referred to as the Action Plan). The meeting fully affirmed the energy weather service work organization is more powerful, business development gradually become a system, the scale of service steadily improved and other stage achievements, and deploy the next step of work:
First, we need to improve our awareness and focus on the key points of our efforts. Against the tasks put forward in the Action Plan, we should strengthen the research and analysis of demand, and make clear the key implementation initiatives and timetable and roadmap; aim at the direction of the development of energy meteorological services and the key problems, make precise efforts, work hard for a long time, highlight the physical workload, and resolutely fight the battle of improving the quality and increasing the efficiency of energy meteorological services.
Secondly, the construction of operational service system should be accelerated. We will formulate a plan for the construction of an energy meteorological operational service system, and comprehensively enhance the ability of decision-making meteorological services; strengthen the construction of wind and solar energy centers, and continue to carry out the demonstration plan for refined meteorological services for wind and solar power generation and the transformation and application of the results to support the development of the "one-stop one-policy" service.
Thirdly, it is necessary to strengthen the research and development and application of artificial intelligence technology. Accelerate the research and development of professional large models for energy meteorological services, and enhance the capability of intelligent meteorological services for multi-application scenarios; accelerate the research and development of station-level wind and solar energy resource monitoring and forecasting technologies; strengthen the forecasting and prediction of hydroelectric power generation; and unite the strengths of colleges and universities, scientific research institutes and enterprises to carry out scientific and technological innovations in an organized manner.
Fourthly, we should give full play to the role of professional meteorological service alliance. Establish the concept of synergistic development of "one chess in the whole country", form a group service mode with clear division of labor, complementary advantages and win-win cooperation, establish and improve the mechanism of demand information and registration of scientific and technological achievements, and the transformation and application of scientific and technological achievements; and adhere to the principle of "one enterprise, one policy" to provide customized services for the energy central enterprises. Fifth, strengthen the organization and coordination and support. The meeting also deployed the key work in the near future, requesting to make every effort to do a good job in monitoring and forecasting of low temperature, rain and snow, spring wind and sand, forest and grassland fire risk, geological disaster risk, etc., predicting the climate trend in the spring and flood season, and guaranteeing the services in key areas, strengthening the meteorological services for spring agricultural production, strengthening the meteorological services for the National People's Congress and the closing stage of the Spring Festival, and grasping the safety of the production.
At the meeting, the Department of Emergency Disaster Reduction and Public Service of China Meteorological Administration, Public Weather Service Center, Shanxi, Zhejiang, Hubei, Sichuan, Xinjiang and other provinces (autonomous regions) Meteorological Bureau reported on the effectiveness of related work.
