National Energy Administration: electricity consumption of the whole society in September increased by 8.5% year-on-year

On October 19, the National Energy Administration released data on electricity consumption and other data for the whole society in September.

In September, the whole society consumed 847.5 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity, an increase of 8.5% year-on-year.From the point of view of electricity consumption by industry, the primary industry consumed 12.1 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity, an increase of 6.4% year-on-year; the secondary industry consumed 537.9 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity, an increase of 3.6% year-on-year; the tertiary industry consumed 165.2 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity, an increase of 12.7% year-on-year; Urban and rural residents living with electricity consumption of 132.3 billion kWh, up 27.8%.

From January to September, the total electricity consumption of the whole society totaled 7409.4 billion kWh, an increase of 7.9%, of which the power generation of industries above the scale was 705.6 billion kWh. From the point of view of sub-industry electricity consumption, the primary industry used 103.5 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity, an increase of 6.9%; the secondary industry used 473.85 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity, an increase of 5.9%; the tertiary industry used 1,395.3 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity, an increase of 11.2%; urban and rural residents living in the electricity consumption of 1,172.1 billion kilowatt-hours, an increase of 12.6% .
