On August 23, 2024, the Department of Electronic Information of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology guided the China National Institute of Electronic Technology Standardization to officially release the "Carbon Footprint Database and Accounting Platform for Photovoltaic Industry Products" in Beijing, marking the initial establishment of China's PV industry carbon footprint accounting system, which provides the whole chain of technical support for the PV industry's carbon footprinting work, ranging from the standards and bases to the acquisition of factor data to the application of accounting software. It provides the whole chain of technical support from the standard, factor data acquisition to the application of accounting software, which is of great significance for PV industry enterprises to accurately and efficiently carry out carbon footprint accounting of PV products, promote energy saving and carbon reduction of enterprises, and push forward the industry's overall green and low-carbon development.
