On November 16, the 6th Asia-Pacific Energy Regulatory Forum was held in Shenzhen, Guangdong Province. Heads of energy (power) regulatory agencies of 14 countries, including China, Australia, India, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, New Zealand, Singapore, Samoa, Tonga, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos and Myanmar, heads of the International Energy Agency, representatives of domestic and foreign energy enterprises, research institutes and industry associations, etc. attended the meeting.

Participants focused on the modernization of the energy governance system, energy system reform and market construction, energy green development and other key areas, publicity and sharing of national energy regulation, energy transition experience, and strive to build a safe, efficient, clean and low-carbon energy supply system, and promote international cooperation in the field of energy.

During the forum, the participating member states jointly released the "Shenzhen Initiative" of the Sixth Asia-Pacific Energy Regulatory Forum, focusing on energy regulation, market construction, green transformation, etc., proposing to continue to promote low-carbon energy transformation, play a driving role in energy regulation in energy transformation, strengthen the construction of the electricity market system to promote energy transformation, digital technology innovation to empower energy transformation, strengthen energy regulation to ensure the security of energy supply, and strengthen international cooperation to enhance regulatory effectiveness.
