On November 10, 2023, Minister of Industry and Information Technology Jin Zhuanglong met with Commissioner for Internal Market of the European Commission Breton and his entourage in Beijing to have in-depth exchanges on topics such as China and the EU working together to safeguard the security and stability of the industrial chain supply chain, strengthening cross-border communication and coordination of data in the field of industry, consolidating cooperation in the automobile industry, ICT standards and other fields, and strengthening the construction of mechanisms in the field of industry and information technology.
Jin Zhuanglong said that China is accelerating the promotion of new industrialization, will further expand the high level of opening up to the outside world, China is willing to work with the European side to strengthen the coordination of policies and standards in the field of industry and informatization, enhance mutual trust, practical cooperation, and promote the construction of a resilient global industrial chain supply chain.
Breton said that China and Europe have carried out fruitful cooperation and are willing to further promote the two sides to strengthen the industry chain supply chain security, data cross-border flow and other areas of exchange and cooperation, and jointly explore more cooperation points of convergence.
Heads of relevant departments and bureaus of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology attended the meeting.
