Recently.National Energy Administration (NEA)Released February 2025 national renewable energy green power certificate issuance and trading data.
I. Green certificate issuance
In February 2025, NEA issued 256 million green certificates, up 5.44 times year-on-year, of which 162 million were tradable green certificates, accounting for 63.32%, involving 64,000 renewable energy power generation projects, and in this period, 163 million green certificates corresponding to renewable energy power in January 2025 were issued, accounting for 63.70%.
In January-February 2025, the NEA issued a total of 488 million green certificates, of which 312 million were tradable green certificates. As of February 2025, a total of 5.442 billion green certificates have been issued nationwide, including 3.691 billion tradable green certificates.

II. Green certificate transactions
In February 2025, 28.4 million green certificates were traded nationwide, of which 12.61 million were traded for green power. 81.5 million green certificates were traded nationwide in January-February 2025, of which 38.57 million were traded for green power. As of February 2025, a total of 634 million green certificates were traded nationwide, of which 276 million green certificates were traded for green power.
